Pixel Practice is looking for a creative NYC high school senior with with ideas. Are you a tinkerer? Do you make things? Do you think in 3D?
At Pixel Practice, we love empowering designers and hobbyists to learn tools that allow them to turn their ideas into real, physical objects. We are evangelists for the democratizing power of digital design and fabrication tools – and want to help you. We want to see your remarkable ideas.
This scholarship is geared towards individuals who are active curious, motivated, and active creative hobbyists. There is no GPA minimum, or long essay required.
How to Apply
Send a 3d model of an original design, invention, sculpture or idea.
Write a 3-5 sentence description of your project. Who is it for? Why did you make it? What problem does it solve? Include a brief statement of your creative goals and interests.
The project could be:
- A product
- A sculpture
- An improvement to a product
- A wearable accessory
The file format can be any 3d file. If you do not have a 3d file, that’s okay! You can send a drawing or plan of your original creation.
Award: The top recipient will receive $500 for the 2017-2018 academic school year.
Qualifications: Applicants must be currently enrolled as a senior in a New York City based public high school and pursuing higher education at an accredited college or university in the fall. Finalists will be interviewed by the acceptance committee.
